The 2026 AP score release began Monday, July 6, 2026. College Board rolls scores out in waves over release week, so not everyone sees theirs the first day — students testing internationally typically get access around July 10. Sign in at scores.collegeboard.org to check yours.
Score Release Timeline
- May–June: College Board processes answer sheets; AP readers score the free-response sections
- July 6, 2026: Score release begins, rolling out in waves through the week
- ~July 10: International test-takers typically get access
- Late July: Score reports sent to the college you designated when registering
- Fall: Colleges apply their credit/placement policies (typically requiring a 3, 4, or 5)
Will I Get AP Credit?
Whether a score earns college credit depends on the institution. An Ivy League may require a 5 for Physics credit while a state university may award credit for a 3. Use College Board's "AP Credit Policy Search" to find the policy for colleges you're considering.
What If I Missed the Exam or Need to Send Scores
Score sends to colleges are typically $15 per report after the initial designation. Withholding, canceling, or sending scores after the fact is available through your College Board account. Scores are retained for 10 years.
