AimFive exists because AP prep is broken. Students cram from review books that can't grade their essays. Apps give a score and move on. Teachers grade DBQs at midnight. Meanwhile the actual rubric — the thing graders use — is barely taught.
What We Built
AimFive scores every practice answer against the actual AP rubric and tells students exactly which points they earned, which they missed, and what to change. Across all 20 AP courses. Free to start, no card required.
Why Rubric Scoring Matters
AP graders don't grade on "quality." They grade on a checklist — thesis, evidence, contextualization, complexity. Students who learn to write to the rubric outscore students who write "well" but vaguely. Every other AP app skips this. We built around it.
Who We Are
AimFive was built by a small team that includes a former AP student turned founder, an engineering lead with a decade of education-tech experience, and AP-experienced teacher advisors who review every rubric implementation. We're based in the United States and care more about score outcomes than feature counts.
