DBQ Rubric Points
- Thesis/Claim (1 pt) — Responds to the prompt with a historically defensible thesis
- Contextualization (1 pt) — Situates the argument within broader historical context
- Evidence: Sourcing (1–2 pts) — Uses document content and sourcing
- Evidence: Outside (1 pt) — Incorporates relevant outside knowledge
- Analysis & Reasoning (1–2 pts) — Demonstrates complex understanding
